The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the New Energy and Industrial Technology
Development Organization (NEDO) will host the 7th International Conference on Carbon Recycling 2025 on Friday, October 10th, 2025, at the Hilton Osaka.
At this conference, we will focus on carbon recycling, a key technology for achieving carbon neutrality, sharing the latest developments in Japan’s initiatives as well as insights from international government officials and experts. By bringing together knowledge from industry, academia, and government worldwide, the conference aims to discuss challenges toward practical implementation and further strengthen international collaboration. In addition, a poster session and networking event will be held to promote interaction among participants and provide opportunities to deepen understanding of carbon recycling technologies.

About the 7th International Conference on Carbon Recycling 2025
Since 2019, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and NEDO have held the “International Conference on Carbon Recycling” annually in Japan, aiming to share Japan’s initiatives and strengthen collaboration with global industry, academia, and government stakeholders.
At the panel discussion of the “7th International Conference on Carbon Recycling 2025,” leading experts from around the world will engage in intensive discussions on three key themes: “Cooperation on Carbon Recycling to Contribute to CO2 Reductions Across Industrial Society”, “Pathway of Carbon Recycling Technologies towards 2030”, “Business Models for Forming the Carbon Recycling Market”.
In addition, to promote interaction among participants and broadly showcase technologies, research and development, products, and services related to carbon recycling, a poster session will be held. Following the poster session, a networking event will take place. Moreover, CR Exchange of Views for Students (by invitation only) will be organized as an international platform connecting students with overseas government officials and industry representatives.
